The Curtain Bluff
Built to take in the mountain views, this 2023 Parade of Homes custom build pairs main-level living with a lower level made for guests.
Set among the trees in The Boulders community of Hendersonville, The Curtain Bluff was built to make the most of its mountain setting from every level. HomeSource Builders built this 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath custom home, totaling 3,404 square feet, and showcased it in the 2023 WNC Parade of Homes, hosted by the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Builder Tim Alexander summed it up this way: “Nestled into a scenic backdrop with breathtaking mountain views. This home’s features are custom craftsman with the finest detail.”

Main-Level Living Built Around the Kitchen
The main level was laid out as an open plan, with the kitchen, dining area, and family room flowing into one another. A full-length island anchors the kitchen and gives everyone a place to pull up a seat. The primary bedroom is also on the main level, so the homeowners can keep everyday living on one floor.
Out back, a covered porch, an open deck, and a screened porch give the homeowners three different ways to enjoy the outdoors depending on the weather, and a hot tub rounds out the outdoor living space.
A Lower Level Ready for Guests
Downstairs, we built a level that works almost like its own suite. Three bedrooms, a second kitchen, and a family room with its own fireplace give guests and extended family a comfortable place to settle in beyond the main floor. The lower level also opens onto a covered patio and includes dedicated mechanical and storage space.
Comfort and Efficiency Built In
The Curtain Bluff earned ENERGY STAR® certification, meaning it was built to meet stricter energy efficiency standards than a typical new home. That translates to lower energy use and steadier comfort through the seasons. A linear fireplace upstairs and a second fireplace downstairs keep the home warm on cool mountain nights, and a whole-home security and automation system lets the homeowners close the blinds, dim the lights, and start a movie with the click of a button.
Finishes Selected In-House
We partnered with our sister brand, HomeSource Design Center, on the interior finishes. Cambria Quartz countertops run throughout the home, and a custom tile backsplash carries from the kitchen to the adjacent wet bar. Having design selections and construction under one roof made it easier to keep the details consistent from room to room.
The HomeSource Difference
The Curtain Bluff shows what goes into a well-planned custom home: a layout that fits how the homeowners want to host, systems that keep the home efficient and easy to run, and craftsmanship in every detail.
