Built for a Crowd, Planned From the Start
These Florida homeowners wanted their WNC mountain retreat to flex easily between a quiet weekend for two and a full house of family and friends. That kind of versatility takes planning well before the first cabinet goes in. Working alongside HomeSource Design Center and kitchen designer Christy Dunlap, we remodeled the kitchen, built out a new dry bar, and renovated the primary bath, with every construction decision tied back to how this home would actually be used.

Seating by Design, Built Into the Structure
The kitchen required full demolition and reconstruction, including new cabinetry installation, custom range hood framing and cladding, floating shelf installation, and tile and countertop installation. The peninsula was built to provide bar seating on one side, while a built-in bench anchors the dining area between the kitchen and the dry bar, creating a defined gathering space that handles a large group without feeling improvised.
A Dry Bar That Works
The dry bar required its own framing, electrical rough-in for a built-in beverage fridge and interior cabinet lighting, and careful coordination during the build phase to get it right. Glass-front uppers with interior lighting and an open bookshelf end keep the space feeling accessible rather than closed off. It's a functional addition that genuinely serves guests.
Primary Bath Renovation
The primary bath includes a walk-in shower built out with multi-tone glazed tile walls and a pebble mosaic floor. A window inside the shower brings in natural light and a view of the surrounding trees.
