Tim Alexander, President
Founder of HomeSource Builders, Tim has more than 30 years of experience in the Asheville real estate, development, and construction market. He knows mountain building techniques and limitations, having built hundreds of custom homes and completing countless remodeling projects. Tim holds a Business degree from Western Carolina University. As member of a Builder 20 Club of the National Association of Home Builders, he meets with, supports, and exchanges best practices with his peers from across the nation.
Kara Gressler, Kitchen and Bath Designer, Design Center Manager
Kara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Bowling Green State University. She has focused the last 15 years on custom cabinetry design, specifically kitchen and baths. Kara’s design inspiration comes from listening to her clients and creating a unique and fresh design to each project.
Katherine Evans, Kitchen and Bath Designer
Katherine Evans, ASID Allied, comes to HomeSource with 18 years of experience in the Kitchen and Bath industry. With extensive background in countertops, material selection, and interior design, Katherine enjoys helping clients create unique and beautiful spaces, based on functionality in the kitchen and bath. She utilizes her experiencein material selection by incorporating texture and interest to extend to other areas of the home as well. Katherine earned her BS in Interior Design from UNC Greensboro.
Amy Duckett, OFFICE MANAGER
Amy is the Office Manager of HomeSource Builders, as well as the HomeSource Design Center. She also works closely with Suzi in the financial aspects of the companies. Her knowledge has been gleaned by working in the construction industry for over 25 years, both in sales and financial administrative capacities. She enjoys the fast paced and diverse environment at HomeSource. Amy majored in Marketing at the University of Tennessee.
Henry Snypes, Project Manager
Henry manages and coordinates jobsite activity for custom home construction. Henry’s experience in the industry is broad. He has been in project management for more than a decade, with additional experience in construction and building material sales. As a retired law enforcement officer, he has the ability to effectively lead the project, getting each job finished in an efficient and timely manner.
Carol McKee, Construction Coordinator
Carol holds two degrees: a B.S. in Geology and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Health and Safety. She works in the renovation and remodeling side of the business and enjoys assisting clients with their selections to help them see their projects through to fruition. She is also active in assisting the Project Managers to create and maintain a smooth project flow.
Melanie Lamb, Project Developer
Melanie Lamb , CKD, CAPS, specialilzes in Home Remodeling. She has more than 20 years of extensive experience in the remodeling profession. She achieved her CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) in 2010, and the designation of CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) in 2012. She is on the board of the local chapter of the NKBA, as VP of Programs. These credentials and affiliations help to bring value and knowledge to her customers and sales.
Jonathan Crowder, Project Manager
Jonathan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Sciences from Appalachian State University. He brings over 7 years of residential construction experience to HomeSource. As a project manager he most enjoys being able to make his client’s vision become reality. Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Suzi Poteat, Chief Financial officer
Suzi manages all the financial aspects of the HomeSource companies. Her extensive accounting and financial experience encompasses four decades, with 20 of those years in construction-specific industries. Suzi holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming from Asheville Buncombe Technical College.
Kelli Crisan, Construction Coordinator
Kelli has 20+ years of expertise in the building and real estate industry including construction coordinating, design consulting, and new homes sales consulting which give her a complete understanding of the entire process. She enjoys making the building experience both positive and memorable for the homeowner. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Valencia Community College and a Florida Real Estate License.
Darryl Blevins, Project Manager
Darryl Blevins is a Project Manager who works with homeowners to navigate their construction needs. Darryl knows that vision and communication are the secrets to a successful project. He has over 25 years of experience as a General Contractor and remodeling specialist. Tearing down and building up are a two of his favorite interests.
