Tim Alexander - President

HomeSource was founded by Tim Alexander, a licensed general contractor with over 20 years of experience in the Asheville real estate, development and construction market. In addition to his builder's credentials, Tim holds a Business degree from Western Carolina University. He has been a NC Real Estate Broker since 1984, a member of the Asheville Board of Realtors, a board member of the Home Builders Association of Asheville and is currently an active member of the National Association of Home Builders.

Clay Johnson, Vice President
Clay grew up in Pennsylvania. A graduate from Gannon University, Clay moved to Asheville in 1995 to continue his career in the home building industry. With an emphasis in construction marketing Clay has been involved in the sales and construction of over two thousand homes.  Clay is a member of several local, state and national associations involving home building. During his space time he enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter.

Suzi Poteat - Office Manager

Suzi holds an associates degree in computer programming and brings over 25 years of experience in customer service, book keeping, office management, and accounting.  She is pivotal to the success our company.  In her spare time, she enjoys scrap booking, sewing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.  

Henry Snypes - Project Manager

Henry brings a background in building materials sales, kitchen and bathroom design, as well as a dedicated career in law enforcement.  He enjoys his family, grand kids and life in the mountains.  When he's not looking out at the beautiful mountains, you may find him working on his "Honey Do" list.

Cara May - Construction Coordinator

Cara holds a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.  She has been involved in the building business for 15 year.  She enjoys time with her wonderful husband and two boys (Max and Riley) as well as knitting, the outdoors, and hiking with her dog.

Diane McDermott- Kitchen and Bath Designer
Diane holds an Associate's degree, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University. She brings over 9 years of experience to HomeSource working as a residential kitchen and bath designer. Diane believes the best part of her job is the collaboration between client and designer and watching it all come together. When she isn't at work she enjoys hiking and biking with her family, as well as painting.

Rob Chambliss – Project Manager
Rob holds a business degree from Appalachian State University and has been building new homes for over 17 years. In his spare time Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters Jordan and Emily and playing one of his many guitars. 

Sarah Knicely - Design Specialist
Sarah grew up in Virginia, and after spending some time in Montana, she recently relocated to Asheville. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from James Madison University and has spent the past seven years in different fields of interior design. Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge to HomeSource including flooring, tile design, color selections and green building design and product specifying. She and her husband Kevin enjoy hiking, camping, fly fishing and exploring all over the beautiful mountains of Western NC and beyond.
